NTPC signs PPA with Chhattisgarh power utility

NTPC, country’s largest power generator, said it has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Ltd (CSPDCL) for sale of power from its upcoming power station at Solapur in Maharashtra.

The power station will have an installed capacity of 1,320 MW (2x660 MW).

The power generated from the project will be sold to beneficiaries in the western region, the company said in a statement.

The agreement was signed by NTPC General Manager (Comml) S N Gel and CSPDCL Chief Engineer (Comml) M S Chawla.
