7/9/2012

9.7.2012 (UNI) The Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court today gave one-week time to the Uttar Pradesh government to clarify whether Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had said on detecting scams worth over Rs 40,000 crore during the previous Mayawati regime in the state.

A Division Bench comprising Justices Umanath Singh and S U Z Siddiqui asked the state government to clarify on the statement of Mr Yadav and has ordered to list the case after one week.

The court was hearing a PIL filed by Naitik Party which quoting media reports said the Chief Minister was yet to take any action even after making a statement that scams worth over Rs 40,000 crore of the Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) government have been detected by the present government.
