6/14/2012
14.6.2012 (UNI) Jharkhand High Court today directed the Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) to initiate a probe into the selection of candidates through the second combined examination conducted by the state-run Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC).
An order was passed by the division bench of Justices R K Merathia and D N Upadhyay while hearing a bunch of petitions challenging the selections made during the second JPSC examinations.
In its order the court maintained that all the officers, excluding a lady, who have been posted in various departments of the state government like the police, the education and other administrative departments, not to carry out their duties until the CBI concludes its investigation as the combined competitive examination was found to be tainted.
The bench also directed that salaries to all those officers should be stopped until the probe was complete. UNI
