ICICI Securities announces launch of new platform for investors

7.8.2012 (UNI) ICICI Securities Ltd, the largest integrated securities firm, today announced the launch of a new platform for investor education E-Learn, which is a flexi and interesting learning initiative which will empower consumers to make informed investment decisions from the comforts of their home and at their own pace.
E-Learn programmes are hosted on a cloud-based learning management system. This system helps learners to track their progress and do a self-assessment on a regular basis. E-Learn uses animations, real market case studies and simple language to make the learning a lasting experience.
'Lack of knowledge about investing is one of the biggest impediments for entering into the stock markets,' said Vineet Arora, executive vice-president and head of (product and distribution), adding, 'E-learn, which is a pioneering initiative by ICICIdirect Centre for Financial Learning, is aimed at giving an easy access to investing knowledge to all learners interested in the Indian equity markets.' 'Gateway to Stock Investing' and 'Gateway to Futures & Options' are the two programs currently available under E-Learn. Gateway to Stock Investing programme is designed for beginners in the stock markets who want to get a practical understanding.
It starts with basic investing concepts, helps learner understand the process of stock selection and avoid common mistakes made in investing. Gateway to Futures & Options is designed for evolved investors who want to initiate their trading in derivatives.
