SC adjourns hearing bail plea of Sadhvi Pragya

The Supreme Court adjourned the hearing bail plea of Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, the main accuse in Malegoan bomb blast case.

A bench comprising Justices J M Panchal and Gyan Sudha Mishra adjourned the hearing as the request for adjourment of the case was made through circulation of a letter.

She had submitted her bail plea to Supreme Court on July 25.

Sadhvi Pragya and Colonel S P Purohit were arrested by Anti Terrorist Squad(ATS) headed by the then Joint Commissioner Hemant Karkare who was killed in 26/11 Mumbai Terror attack.

ATS had arrested the petitioner and her associates after it found evidence against the Hindu organisation involved in terrorist activities.

The Bombay High Court had rejected her plea on March 12.
