Judge refuses to hear pleas
8/23/2012

23.8.2012 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh High Court's Indore Bench today declined to hear petitions by 20 people whose memberships, in the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA), were annulled.

Justice SK Seth's refusal came during a hearing.

As soon as the hearing commenced, Mr Leeladhar Paliwal -- an MPCA member and named as respondent in the pleas -- said that Mr Harvinder Singh Sodhi, whose membership was annulled, yesterday submitted a writ petition in the Chief Justice's court in Jabalpur and pleaded that the case be heard there.

Mr Sodhi claimed that it has become a high-profile case on account of its association with political heavyweights.

On learning of the writ petition, Justice Seth ruled that the pleas submitted here would be referred to the Chief Justice's court. UNI
