Lucknow HC reserves its order in Taj corridor scam
3/19/2010

The Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court has reserved its decision on the application for withdrawal of the writ petition in the multi crore Taj corridor scam.

Passing this order on an application filed by Anupama Singh to withdraw her writ petition, the division bench consisting of Justices Shabihul Hasnain and Pradeep Kant, fixed April 12 for the next hearing.

Ms Singh and two others had filed the petitions demanding not to absolve Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati and her Cabinet Minister Naseemuddin Siddiqui from charges.

Senior advocate Satish Chandra Mishra said Ms Singh was a political party leader and these petitions have been filed because of political rivalry.

The Court, after hearing to both the parties at length, reserved its order.
